Aleutian Disease (AD) surveillance on mink farms

This dataset contains data the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs tracks as part of the voluntary AD surveillance program of farmed minks within Ontario.

AD is presently the most important infectious disease affecting farm-raised mink. Data is a summary of the 2015 annual testing results from the University of Guelph Animal Health Laboratory in relation Aleutian Disease and includes:

  • number of farms tested,
  • number of samples tested
  • number of positive samples
  • average percent of samples positive
  • average farm rate of infection
